        Today's Devotional

        • Good precious land, a land flowing with milk and honey

        • Have you ever established why the scripture in Exodus 3:7-8 describes the land that God promised the children of Israel as a good and precious land? O.K let us read together now.

        • The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have seen them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and bring them up out of the land into a good precious land, a land flowing with milk and honey-the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jubusites”

        • Today I want us to look deeper on 10 words in this scripture. The words are;  good precious land, a land flowing with milk and honey
On our Health page, the writer gives us an insight about the importance of drinking milk, but have you ever meditated over as to why God used Milk to describe the Land? Why did HE not talk about the Meat, Pezza, Chips, Chicken or Jack fruit?

Yes milk has all the values both spiritual and body. Spiritually milk has a sign of purity because of the colour. What do you think?

We need to be pure and also remember that we are a chosen generation. I mean the United Methodist Church is a chosen generation; East Africa Annual Conference is a chosen generation. Wake up brothers and sisters and cry out to God.

Yes verse 7 tells us of the slave drivers, indeed today there are slave drivers in our lives. These are the diseases in our bodies, corruption, immorality, human sacrifice, human trafficking, envy, selfishness mention it.

The Church in East Africa is also in its own waves; there are overwhelming numbers of orphans and needy children, displaced women, illiteracy, poverty, HIV/AIDS, conflict, drug abuse.

Therefore can you and me take time and cry out to the Lord to remember us and take us to that precious land, a land flowing with milk and honey.  In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Embracing the Power of the Resurrection and the Life!

central fact of the gospel message is the resurrection of Jesus, declared in Psalm 2, the begotten Son of God. In 1952, Dead Sea scrolls were discovered in Cave 4 called the “Messianic Apocalypse”. The Messiah’s ministry of resurrection is reiterated in these ancient documents with an obvious reference to Isaiah 61:1-3. The scroll identifies someone who “… will heal the wounded, and revive the dead …
