Resident Bishop

Daniel Wandabula was born in Bugembe, Jinja, Uganda in 1965.  He is married to wife Betty, and father to four lovely daughters.

He was ordained an Elder in the Methodist tradition in Nairobi, Kenya (1994).

Daniel Wandabula was baptized as a baby and became a born again in 1985.

He completed a Master of Divinity and Master of Theological Studies degree from Garrett - Evangelical Theological Seminary.  He is currently working towards a Doctor of Ministry degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.

He was Administrative Secretary of the Methodist Church ( Uganda) in the early 1990’s before returning to Uganda in 1997.

He served as the District Superintendent of the Kampala/Jinja District/ Southern Sudan and Project Coordinator of Church Development for the United Methodist Church (UMC) in Uganda and Sudan. 

He was elected a Bishop of the East Africa Episcopal Area -  (EAAC - Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan and Uganda) at Africa University, by the Central Africa Conference in May 2006.

His leadership, compassion, energy, vision, and empowerment help the poor, disenfranchised, young and old, to have a better “quality of life” is exemplary.
